I HEARD YOU CALLING

"I Heard You Calling", was inspired by actual events and is based on (a true Life Journal that tells) the genuine love story of a local Philadelphia area couple - Al and Linda Filippone. The high school sweethearts married in 1975 and started a well-known wedding photography business out of Springfield, PA. After struggling for years, the couple adopted a beautiful baby girl. They named her Annamarie (the name 'Mallory' was used in the film). The family's picture-perfect life took a tragic turn when Linda's life was cut short on February 18, 2024, after losing a 2 1/2 year battle against cancer. The film follows a now elderly and frail Al, a widower determined to hold on to the warmth and solace of a lifetime of beautiful memories with his first, only, and eternal love - Linda. As Al begins to navigate the difficult process of grief and loss, he suffers a stroke. Mallory, the couple's only daughter, tries her best to help her father while silently grieving her mother and fearing that she will someday be left alone. Through moments of inexplicable light, surreal flashbacks, and subtle miracles, Linda reaches out to guide her husband and daughter along their intertwined yet separate journeys. Linda gives Mallory the strength she needs to make peace with her father and face life's inevitable course. With this accomplished, Linda can finally call her husband 'home.' As the couple reunites, Al acknowledges, "I Heard You Calling."
