Q: How can I get  a FREE Medium Popcorn from Dipson Theatres?
A: You can receive your free popcorn by registering to the system here

Q: I don't have a printer, can I still buy tickets online?
A: No... You will need a functioning printer to redeem your ticket at the theatre.

Q: I want to buy a ticket but the showtime isnt clickable. Why?
You may not purchase online tickets within 3 hours of the movie start time online, most likely you will be able to purchase tickets at the box office.  You should call the theatre to insure that tickets are available.  This allows the theatre to prepare for our online customers and to ensure that they do not oversell a theatre.  Another reason that tickets may be not available is that a movie is already sold out, but this reason is usually for the big "event" pictures and is not the norm.

Q: I know my credit card is good but my order was still declined?
A: Please make sure you have entered your correct address. We validate your credit card information based on the address you have registered with your issuing credit card provider.

Q: Why was I double charged?
A: E-commerce processing uses a specific transaction format called PreAuth/PreAuthCapture. When a cardholder purchases an item through our website, an authorization (pre-auth) will be sent to the card-issuing bank verifying available funds and will put a hold on those funds for you. When our credit card batch is assembled and closed it will submit a finalization (pre-auth capture) on the pre-auths and close out the batch. This is the way that it will work to ensure that the funds are available at the time of purchase, but without actually charging/finalizing the card in the event that the item or service is not available to give the merchant a chance to omit the transaction from the final batch. A pre-auth will generally hold or  pend for 3-5 business days at which point it will drop off leaving only the PreAuthCapture transaction, or no Capture at all if the transaction was omitted. It will be typical for debit card cardholders to see these preauths and the preauthcaptures because of online banking.  If your charge is not reversed in a couple of days, please contact us again, and we will send it on for review with the Merchant Company.

Q: My printer malfunctioned and I couldn't print my ticket what do I do?
A: If you do have a printer but it malfunctioned while printing your ticket please contact us here as soon you can before you attend the show and we will forward your information to the manager on duty.

Q: How do I find out what movies will be playing at Dipson Theatres?
A: You may use the search feature on any of our pages located at the top of the page. Just type the movie title and click go and if the movie is currently playing at any of our locations it will show up.

Q: Are you hiring?
A: Most likely... Please apply at the location nearest you.

Q: How can I find out which movies will be playing at my theater in advance?
A: Movie schedules are determined on Mondays and Tuesdays for films opening on Friday of the same week. Schedules are posted on the Dipson Theatres Web site by Tuesday. Due to industry considerations, films, and schedules are subject to frequent changes, so unfortunately, scheduling confirmation can only be released up to five days in advance.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
Currently, the following locations accept cards at the box office only:
Amherst
Bradford
Eastern Hills Mall Cinema
Lakewood Cinema 8
Market Arcade Film and Arts Centre
McKinley Mall Cinema
Warren
West River

Q: How long will my movie play in the theater?
A: The length of time any film will play in any theater is based on the amount of business the film does, contractual obligations and time of the year. Basically, the more popular a film is with patrons, the longer it will play. There is no way to predict exactly how long a movie will play.

Q: Why isn't a certain movie playing at my theater?
A: Deciding which theaters will play certain movies is a complicated and competitive process. All film exhibitors compete to acquire as many prints of each new release as possible. While we would like to play every film in all theaters, it is rare that one exhibitor will receive enough films to play all films in every location.

Q: How do I get information (or who do I contact) about screen advertising?
A: For information about advertising on a Dipson Theatres screen, please call Michael Clement at 716-626-9613.

Q: Can I purchase gift certificates online?
A: Yes. Dipson Theatres offers online gift certificates.  Your order is normally shipped within 1 business day of receiving the confirmation.  Please click here to place an order.

Q: Do you reserve seats for large groups?
A: Purchasing tickets in advance guarantees you a seat for each ticket purchased, however, we do not reserve specific seats in any row. Highly popular films will generate longer lines as shows sell out quickly. Large groups need to arrive early if sitting together is important. For reserving an entire auditorium for your party, please email Sales at sales@dipsontehatres.com.

Q: Can I use my gift certificates at any theater?
A: Yes, gift certificates are treated the same as cash with no expiration date and are accepted at any Dipson theater, at any time.  Very rarely, the film companies, impose a no pass restriction and depending on the type of pass you have you may or may not be able to use it for that engagement.  Basically, for gift certificates that have been paid for you will be able to use them, but for promotional passes/comps that were received at no charge those would not be usable for a no pass restriction movie.
